MOUNT TYPES:
Inside mounted shades will have a deduction of approximately 0.4 inches taken to ensure a proper fit inside the window frame. A minimum frame depth of 2 inches is required for secure installation of inside mounted shades. If your window frame depth is less than 2 inches, please select an outside mount.
Outside mounted shades should be ordered with the exact width of the area you wish to cover. Outside mounts are often used when there is insufficient frame depth for an inside mount. Our shades come with all necessary mounting hardware for both inside and outside mounting.
INSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT:
Step 1: Measure the inside frame width at the top, middle, and bottom, and record the smallest of the three measurements. Use this number as your inside width when ordering.
Step 2: Measure the height at the left, middle, and right side, and record the smallest of the three measurements. Use this number as your inside height when ordering.
OUTSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT:
Step 1: Measure the outside frame width, adding 3-6 inches to determine the outside mount width.
Step 2: Measure the outside frame length, adding 4-6 inches to determine the outside mount length. This overlap is recommended to allow for appropriate coverage and to avoid any light gaps.
