Inside Mount
The width you choose for your roman shade is the exact inside width of your window, as our production team will make all the necessary deductions (3/8 inch less than the window width) to ensure a perfect fit inside the window. Similarly, the height you choose is the exact inside height of your window, and the roman shade height will be the same as your window height. For an inside mount, the window depth needs to be more than 2 inches.
Outside Mount
Measure the exact width and height of your window, including the outside trim. For mounting on the wall, the roman shade width will be 3 to 6 inches wider than the window trim width, and the roman shade height will be 5 to 10 inches taller than the window trim height. For mounting on the frame, the roman shade width will be the same as the window trim width (or slightly smaller), and the roman shade height will be the same as the window trim height. Choose the exact roman shade width and height to place your order.
Door Mount
Measure the exact width and height of the door window, including the trim. Our production team suggests adding 1-2 inches to the roman shade width based on the door window frame width, and 3-5 inches to the roman shade height based on the door window frame height. The final roman shade size will depend on the space limitation, so choose the exact width and height to place your order.
